About Us

Horses In Lives was founded in 2011.

 

Nathalie Phillips is the Director and Founder of the Service.

 

She has a background in Education. She is a former Primary School Teacher, has a Diploma in Professional Counselling with a Major in Abuse and another one in Child Development and Effective Parenting. She is also an EAGALA certified practitioner.

 

EAGALA is the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association. It is based in the USA and was founded in 1999.

 

When working according to the EAGALA Model, Nathalie partners with other Professionals, either an Equine Specialist or a Mental Health Professional.

Horses In Lives works with a herd of 12 horses in average, from which about 8 are used in sessions with participants handling them.
